 | Chasing The Storm (Album Preview) is just that. I am presuming this is part advance tracks, part demo for the new album. It captures good writing and blooming arrangement. Sometimes the guitar is a little stiff, but I really like what's going on here. |

Track by Track Review
Surf (Instrumental)
"Chasing The Storm" is an interesting song with strong possibilities. The guitar is stiff at times on this track, and at others quite fluid. A fun and adventurous song.
Surf (Instrumental)
"Diminished Dreams" shimmers with tremolo charm. It's an easy track with a very good melody line. Its romantic sound and beauty compel you to come back. This will be splendid when all worked out for the album.
Surf (Instrumental)
The keyboard opening is haunting, and the rising drums and chords are complimented by some very imaginative bass lines and drums patterns. Lots of potential here!
Surf (Instrumental)
The title says it all... jazz guitar and bass styling with reverb. That's just the opening, however. Once the tribal drums join in and the second guitar comes along, "Surf Jazz" becomes quite a magical creation. Infectious and happy in a cool mood way.
Surf (Instrumental)
Six fathoms down, the bell tolls for you too! "Dancing With Davy Jones" has a slightly ominous tremolo shimmer over great tribal drums. I really like what this track does. It's sound is sensual, yet moody and slightly sad. Quite nice!
Surf (Instrumental)
Lots of cool ideas here. The guitar pattern is unusual and haunting, as is the washing of the waves across the moody bass lines. Almost hypnotic in its loneliness, it evolves into a multilayered track with interest and variation. Once the tribal drums come along, you are captured! This is wholly original and well thought out.
Surf (Instrumental)
This is a slow and silky interpretation of Georgia Turner and Bert Martin's classic blues. The arrangement meanders through surf and rock and fuzz and blues, all with every rising flights of fancy.
