Track by Track Review
Shadows (Instrumental)
"The Mexican" is a haunting instro with that big guitar echoed sound made famous by Hank Marvin. This is a fine track with a solid sound and rhythm.
Shadows (Instrumental)
Some damped passages display the tape echo, while others float on an MOR cloud of Shadowsy guitar. Tasteful, and restrained.
Shadows (Instrumental)
This a gorgeous and haunting rendition of Ernesto Lecuona's "The Breeze and I." It's not surf, being very Euro-centric, but it's in the style of some of the influences on various surf bands, including the Challengers and Australia's Atlantics. The performance is hot, and the guitar sound is very intense! Some double picked verses add to the mystery.
Shadows (Instrumental)
"Just For Jerry" is a soft romantic floater of a guitar instro. tasteful, but not very interesting.
