A Little More Wine My Dear
Pre Surf (Instrumental)
"A Little More Wine My Dear" is a basic 50's instro, but with a solid low-E guitar lead. reasonable melody line, and pre-surf picking. A cool tune.
Surf (Instrumental)
The Centurions were a mighty tough band, somewhere between the San Luis Obispo R&B sound and LA surf. One of the better versions of this tune. They had such a mean sound.
Surf (Instrumental)
Among the Impacts better tracks, "Fort Lauderdale" is a rockin' jaunt with wailing sax and solid energy.
Surf (Instrumental)
A less gutty sound than the Dick Dale original, but a cool track anyway.
Hot Rod (Instrumental)
This is quite dry, and the guitar tones are insensitive to the arrangement. The performance is technically good and emotionless, almost empty. It's worth a spin or two, but you'll forget it pretty quickly. Too much of a jam.
Street Machine
Hot Rod (Instrumental)
Next!
Hot Rod (Instrumental)
With that Chuck Berry "Memphis" riff and a lead line morphed slightly from that towards "Old McDonald Had A Farm." Too derivative to be interesting.
