The Surfin' Lungs - Full Petal Jacketdotdotdotdot
artworkThis is a superb album from England's most enduring and endearing surf pop band. Their original vocals and occasional instros have long been faves of mine. Two instros grace this disc - most notably the throbbing groove of "Ungawa."
Picks: 97XF11, Ungawa

97XF11 dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Slightly darker than is typically the case with Surfin' Lungs instros, "97XF11" has a somewhat exotic melody line and distant chorus. Its coastal sound and structure are really nice. Excellent production and writing.

Ungawa dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Throbbing tremolo creates a moody tom tom danger. Structured like Link Wray in the jungle, and very beach oriented. Tribal and undulating, with grode bass and very cool drums. "Ungawa" is all about the tremolo and tom toms.
