Mondo And Quaffe - Dark Surfdotdotdot
artworkMondo And Quaffe play truly garage music in a completely original vein. There are two instrumentals here with some surf influences, among a plethora of other misspent roots. For the adventurous.

Pogo Dancing dotdotdot
Surf Rock (Instrumental)

"Pogo Dancing" reminds me of a handful of the Mexican rock instros from the sixties, with a minimal melody line and infectious shouts riding on a simple but groovy jam-like backtrack. The guitar is quite fun, especially where the notes slide around. Imagine a minor league version of Ron Wood back in his days with Small Faces.

Indo dotdotdot
Surf Rock (Instrumental)

In a nod to the Dutch-based genre of days gone by, Mondo And Quaffe play a bluesy, jammy, and totally weird intro with a sound and structure that's avant-garde and disquieting. If you can conjure an image of Nik Turner playing surf, you might imagine this.
