Hieronymus Bosch - Havin' Fun, Soundin' Gooddotdotdotdot
artworkHieronymus Bosch takes their name from the Dutch painter (1450-1516). His paintings blend fantasy and reality in apocalyptic scenes of chaos with half-human, half-animal creatures, devils, and demons interacting with human figures in imaginary architecture and landscapes. Among his best-known works is The Garden of Earthly Delights, depicting the dreams that afflict people who live in a pleasure-seeking world. The seven vocals hearken back to the great days of post punk US bands born of the UK power pop era. Like the Motors and others, Hieronymus Bosch make very cool pop songs with edge, and they are very well written.

Borg Warner, Four On The Floor dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

A dramatic tuning up kind of intro brings forth a thick textured instro with long distortion sustain and rhythmic chords. Not stylistically what you'd call surf, but "Borg Warner, Four On The Floor" is a tuff instro in the tradition of eighties Texas guitar bands like Big Guitars From Texas or the LeRoi Brothers, or perhaps the Cylinders, Problem, the Psychotic Youth, or even the Go Go's. It has after dark attack and open road adventure all over it.
