The Cousins - Best Of 60sdotdotdot
artworkThe Cousins were very popular in their homeland of Belgium in the early sixties. This compilation contains three of their many instrumentals. "Boudah" is particularly noteworthy.
Picks: Bouddah, Midnight Sun Will Never Set, Pep's

Track by Track Review

Bouddah dotdotdotdot
Near Surf (Instrumental)

"Bouddah" is interesting and exotic instrumental. It has a light, shin sound, but it boarders on surf via ringing chords and very cool percussion. Slightly mysterious, and gently trembling, the song is both cute and cool!

Midnight Sun Will Never Set dotdotdot
Near Surf (Instrumental)

This is a lovely slow romancer with gently delivered guitar and smooth bass. "Midnight Sun Will Never Set" is very much an easy listening track, but is very easy on the soul.

Pep's dotdotdot
Near Surf (Instrumental)

"Pep's" is a slow guitar and bass drama on the left and drums relentlessly faster and pounding on the right. The drum solo rocks, and guitar-drum interchange is perhaps similar to The Surfaris' "Mystic Island Drums," only tamer.
